I started www.californiawinetv.com to share my passion for California wines with other people who are also excited to learn more about these extraordinary wines. There are so many incredible wineries in California that I thought that they deserve their own website devoted to the wines that they produce. I didn’t want to create the new “wine bible” of the world so that people could learn about Syrahs from South Africa and the new Pinot Noirs coming from Chile or New Zealand. I am not here to discuss which was the best year for French Bordeaux or to guide you thru which Italian Barolos to put away in your cellar for a rainy day. All of those regions and varietals are surely incredible and they absolutely deserve to be tasted and enjoyed as well. However I felt that it was impossible to do justice to all of these deserving wines from all over the world, there are just so many! Instead I offer an honest, personal, and sincere approach to California wines because these are the wines that I drink and enjoy on a regular basis. If I was going to create a website devoted to California wines it seemed only natural to include recipes that showcase some of the incredible local cuisine that compliments these wines so well. I love to cook and can’t wait to share some of my favorite recipes that you can enjoy with these fabulous wines. I also want to educate people about the California wine lifestyle. There’s more to the wine than the bottle and the liquid contained inside. These wines have great history and unique stories, they bring friends and family together, they get us excited with their brilliant flavors and haunting aromas. Many of the wineries are family owned who have tremendous respect and passion for the wines that they create.
